Fishing at Lakeside

Major investment and improvement to fishing at Lakeside has been a huge success!

  • Creation of “silvers” pool, including floating islands and 100s of new fish stock.
  • Siltex water treatment.
  • Extensive bank shuttering, overhanging tree pruning, silt and snag clearance.
  • New swims.
  • Landscaping with planting, creation of new picnic and seating areas.
  • …and there’s more to come, with an ongoing programme of active management and further enhancements.

Our Lake

Our stunning tree-lined, 3 acre natural lake is perfect for days and nights of coarse and carp fishing. With Wild, Mirror and Common Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Pike and Perch all present in good numbers, our lake is not open to the general public, and with no closed season*, it really does make for a great fishing holiday or weekend break in the heart of Somerset.

Check out our Lakeside Holiday Park – Fishing page on Facebook! You can find tips from our bailiff and regulars and see some great photos of the kind of fish you can expect to catch during your stay!

* Fishermen must still produce a valid Rod Fishing Licence upon arrival at Reception.
